HER-RISE resource center is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago Heights, Illinois dedicated to empowering women rebuilding their lives after incarceration or domestic violence. We provide trauma informed reentry support job and career training, financial literacy, education, counseling, and family reunification services. ​ ​Our mission is to ensure every woman has the support stability and opportunity. She needs to rise again.

Skilled Trades Volunteers (Illinois Licensed & Insured
We welcome Illinois-licensed plumbers, electricians, and contractors who want to donate skilled services to support safe, stable housing and community-based projects. Requirements: Active Illinois license • Proof of general liability insurance • Willingness to follow permit/code requirements when applicable.

From the moment we started our Small Business in 2000, we understood that by working together we could overcome the many challenges facing women today. We ultimately decided to launch HER RISE based on the mission that social change begins with empowerment.
